Mothers' Union
Mothers’ Union is a worldwide, Christian mission charity which seeks to support families of all kinds and to see relationships flourish. It has 4 million members in over 80 countries. Members work with projects such as parenting groups, prison ministry, community health education, literacy, relief end development programmes.
Mothers’ Union tackles the most urgent needs facing communities by working together with them with projects that foster strong families and protect children.
A ‘Wave of Prayer’ goes round the world as members pray at midday every day for any current issues affecting family life and for the work or the Mothers’ Union. We also campaign locally, nationally and internationally about such issues.
Members also enjoy meeting together. We pray, volunteer, raise money for projects and support each other in personal and community issues and have fun!
The Mothers’ Union branch at Wimborne Minster meets regularly 3 times a month and anyone is very welcome to come and find out more about us. We meet for:
- Corporate Communion on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 9.30 a.m. in Wimborne Minster.
- Prayer on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the Crypt at 10.00 a.m.
- Our Main Meeting on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 2.15 pm in Church House. This usually starts with a short time of worship followed by a speaker, or a quiz, or discussion and of course tea and biscuits!
