What is Oasis?

Oasis is a Bereavement Support Group that

  • offers people ways of understanding their grief.
  • helps people cope with their loss in a friendly and informal way
  • provides opportunities for people to support one another

Where and When do we meet?

  • Wimborne Minster Church House Lounge from 12.30 - 2.30pm On the First Wednesday of each month

What do we do?

Meetings begin with a short prayer and a reading. We then have a "Bring and Share" Lunch followed by a talk and discussion on a relevant topic for example

  • moods and feelings
  • growing through loss
  • sleep and memory problems
  • grief symptoms
  • does faith help?

Occasionally we have social outing

  • picnic
  • Visit to a local restaurant
  • visit to hillfield friary
  • concert visit
