The Wimborne Minster Preservation and Development Trust

Throughout its long history, the people of Wimborne have shown considerable initiative in finding ways to preserve the Minster. The work of the Wimborne Minster Preservation and Development Trust continues this long tradition. An independent charity, the trust was formed to raise, receive, and disburse funds for the work of preserving the Minster. The current aim is to raise £500,000 by securing covenanted, capital or legacy gifts from industry, commerce and individuals.

It is a sign of our times that you can be of most help by making a donation; large or small. It is donations from people such as yourselves that have restored the windows in the East end, strengthened the timbers in the Chancel roof, and replaced extensive stonework in the West Tower.

Every donation, however small, not only contributes to the trust, but makes a real difference to the preservation of the Minster.

In addition, a large number of individuals, companies and organisations have increased the value of their donation by deed of covenant - allowing the trust to recover the income tax at the standard rate.
